Angela Matos is a licensed physical therapist who specializes in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. Prior to her career in physical therapy she became a NY state licensed massage therapist, receiving her education at Healing Hands Institute in Westwood, NJ. She completed her undergraduate studies at St. Thomas Aquinas College where she earned a bachelor’s in science. Angela received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY.
Angela has worked with patients from 2 to 90 years of age, with varying diagnoses. She is focused on designing treatments to help patients achieve their functional goals while making the recovery enjoyable. Angela particularly likes working with adolescents and weekend warriors in their return to athletic activities. Angela has been trained in the McKenzie method of mechanical diagnosis and therapy and is in the process of receiving her advanced certification.
Angela grew up in Ossining and attended Ossining High School. In addition to her work as a physical therapist, Angela enjoys spending time with her husband, cooking, dancing, and practicing yoga.
